Through our ongoing assessment with the UN SDG Accelerating Action Tool, Wilsons Country has been recognised as contributing to 14 of the 17 SDGs, with direct, measurable impact on 57 specific SDG targets. These aren’t just tick-box achievements — they reflect real change in how we grow, produce, transport, and give back.

SDG 2 – Zero Hunger
We provide quality, nutritious food and actively reduce food waste through surplus donations to community partners. Our farming partnerships prioritise crop diversity and resilient agricultural practices.
SDG 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy
With our on-site anaerobic digestion (AD) plant, we generate over 50% of our electricity from waste. Combined with 100% renewable electricity sourcing, we’re actively reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth
We support local employment, offer fair working conditions, and contribute to community wellbeing through education, apprenticeships, and safe, inclusive workplaces.
SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production
From recyclable packaging and waste segregation to our zero waste to landfill policy, we are committed to circular economy practices and minimising our environmental footprint.
SDG 13 – Climate Action
We’ve achieved a 68% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions since 2019, and are investing in cleaner logistics via biomethane-powered delivery vehicles — proving that decarbonisation can be practical and profitable.
SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation
Our water strategy includes recycling systems and water centrifuges, improving water-use efficiency and reducing processing impact on local water sources.
SDG 5 – Gender Equality
We foster a culture of inclusion and leadership for women in the agri-food sector, with full participation in decision-making and empowerment through training and technology.
