But what exactly is LEAF Marque, and why is it important?
LEAF stands for Linking Environment And Farming. LEAF Marque is a globally recognised certification for farms that are committed to environmental responsibility, biodiversity, and sustainable land management.
Think of it like an eco-upgrade for farming. While many farms already meet basic industry standards, LEAF Marque goes further — requiring farmers to manage their land in a more holistic, long-term way that benefits the soil, air, water, wildlife, and communities.
Red Tractor & LEAF Marque
All of Wilson’s Country’s growers are already certified to the Red Tractor scheme — the UK’s leading food quality assurance standard that ensures food is safe, traceable, and responsibly produced.
However, for our key retail partners, we go a step further. Selected growers in our retail supply chain are required to be LEAF Marque certified — which involves higher environmental standards and deeper accountability. It’s the difference between “doing it right” and “doing it brilliantly.”
