Full-time Forklift Operators

The Company:
Based in Craigavon, Co. Armagh, Wilson’s Country Ltd specialises in pre-packed, peeled and prepared potatoes. We supply food retailers, caterers and food processing companies with a range of products, offering quality, taste, full traceability and value for money.
The Position:
Forklift operating activities may be based at intake, yard, stores, production or despatch and will include:
- Safely moving and handling potato boxes, pallets and other associated materials;
- Loading and offloading lorries;
- Store work, stock rotation and stock control;
- Building and picking orders;
- Accurately calculating figures, recording information, data entry and using a handheld scanner;
- Working within quality, health and safety guidelines and food safety standards;
- General production duties.
Hours of work:
Working 5 days out of 6, Monday to Saturday (day shift) and/or evenings (Monday to Friday, 1.30pm to 11.00pm approximately).
The Person:
Ideally we are looking for someone who has:
- A qualification or licence to operate a counterbalance forklift truck;
- A good general awareness of food safety, food hygiene, health and safety and quality;
- Relevant experience;
- Basic computer skills and a good standard of literacy and numerical skills and prepared to use a computer system for basic input data (training provided);
- Good communication and organisational skills and the ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.
- The ability to work accurately and with attention to detail in a fast-paced working environment;
